POWDERCOATING
We powdercoat anything you can put in an oven from car rims and snorkels, to gates, patios and frames
Powdercoating is a process of applying dry, electrostatic powder to metal, steel or aluminium objects then cured in high temperatures to form a protective ‘skin’.
This process, when done correctly, can provide you with a smooth, durable finish on any metal surface and can often can be a better, more affordable alternative that wet spray paint.
The other process involved is prep work, great powdercoating also comes down to detailed prep work we pride ourselves on thorough cleaning and preparation on anything that gets coated.
This includes chemical cleaning, sanding, etch priming, powder priming or chemical pre-treatment. Different substrates require different prep work and/or pre-treatment. Please contact us to discuss your project further to ensure it gets the right prep and pre-treatment for a quality finish.
For aluminium pre-treatment we use OXSILAN, an eco-friendly innovative technology which provides a durable application to all aluminium products.
This process involves dipping the Aluminium into different solutions to clean, rinse treat the metal. Our tanks are 7m long so dipping and pre-treating larger projects is no problem.
Should something be in bad condition or made of a substrate that powdercoating does not have good adhesion to (For Example: black or blue steel) , we will suggest sandblasting before we process it.
Need sandblasting too? Not a problem, we can organise that for you. All sandblasting is sent to WA Sandblasting www.wasandblasting.com.au ,conveniently located on Albany Hwy, Kenwick.
We can organise to have your project sandblasted, primed and powdercoated, you just have to drop it off and pick it up from our location, all of the services go on the 1 account to make it easier for you.
